This Swedish band that is mostly known by their hits The Final Countdown, Carrie and Out of This World has been formed in the late seventies and ended in 1992. They briefly came back together in 1999 and in 2003 they restarted their career.

Since then, they recorded five albums, the newest being War of Kings that was published in March this year and includes their newest hit single Days of Rocknroll. Two band members were also part of the original crew: singer Joey Tempest (1979–1992, 1999, 2003–) and guitar player John Norum (1979–1986, 1999, 2003-); the other three member were also part of previous crews:bass player John Levén (1981, 1981–1992, 1999, 2003–), keyboard player Mic Michaeli (1984–1992, 1999, 2003–) and drummer Ian Haugland (1984–1992, 1999, 2003–). In every part of their career, Europe was always a successful hard metal band, following bands like Whitesnake, Deep Purple or Bon Jovi. With their album War of Kings, which critics say is one of the best albums of this genre, they are being successful all around the world.
